Summer is over, but the dance calendar around Berlin is only getting busier.
For competitive dancers, autumn means getting back into competition rhythm after the summer months. And this year there is plenty happening around Berlin: from the Berlin Open in October and EDEL POKAL in November to a dedicated Pro-Am festival in December.
The season has already started, too.
Grand Ball Potsdam Opened the Autumn Season
On September 12, dancers gathered just outside Berlin for the Grand Ball Potsdam.
The competition brought together different age groups and levels, with events ranging from young dancers to adult competitors and Pro-Am. For many dancers from Berlin, Brandenburg and further away, it was one of the first opportunities after summer to return to the competition floor.
But Grand Ball was only the beginning. There are still several dates ahead for dancers planning their autumn season around Berlin.
Berlin Open - October 24-25
The Berlin Open 2026 takes place on October 24-25 and brings a broad international competition program to the German capital.
With Ballroom and Latin events across different categories and levels, it is one of the bigger weekends on Berlin's autumn dance calendar. For dancers planning several starts this season, it also comes at an interesting time — just two weeks before EDEL POKAL.

EDEL POKAL - November 7
Only two weeks later, dancers return to the competition floor in Berlin for EDEL POKAL 2026.
Taking place on November 7, EDEL POKAL gives couples and solo dancers another competition opportunity in the middle of the autumn season. For dancers who competed at Berlin Open, the timing is especially useful: two weeks gives you time to return to training, work on what happened on the floor and compete again while the experience is still fresh.
It is also a good reminder that a strong competition season does not have to be built only around the biggest international events. Regular floor experience matters, especially for younger dancers and competitors who are still building confidence and consistency.

Amazing Berlin Pro-Am Dance Festival - December 5-6
The autumn competition period in Berlin finishes with something different.
The Amazing Berlin Pro-Am Dance Festival takes place on December 5-6 at the Grand Hyatt Berlin.
The Pro-Am format creates a different atmosphere from traditional amateur competitions, allowing amateur dancers to compete together with professional partners. It also adds another type of event to an already varied Berlin autumn calendar.

One Autumn, Different Competition Experiences
What stands out this autumn is not simply the number of events. It is the variety.
