Elevent Star Dance Competition returns to Helsinki for its 22nd edition, bringing together Pro-Am dancers, amateurs, and youth competitors for a full day of ballroom and Latin dancing. The event has built a strong reputation over the years and continues to attract dancers looking for both high-level competition and a memorable experience.
Held in one of Helsinki’s most iconic venues, the competition combines a professional setup with a welcoming atmosphere. From early rounds to evening finals, the day is designed to give every dancer the chance to perform, improve, and enjoy the floor.
Venue
The competition takes place at Vanha ylioppilastalo in Helsinki, a historic ballroom located in the city center. The venue offers a classic and elegant setting, often compared to a “mini Blackpool,” making it a special place to compete and watch top-level dancing.

Categories & Divisions
The competition includes open categories for Youth Under 19 and Amateur dancers.
Pro-Am dancers are divided into age groups:
- A0: under 19
- A: 19–35 years
- B: 36–45 years
- C: 46–55 years
- D: 55+ years
Dancers may also choose to compete in a younger category if desired.
Pro-Am competition formats include:
- Newcomer (all ten dances)
- Single Dance (Open Bronze, Silver, Gold)
- Multi Dance (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
- 2, 3, 4, and 5 dance challenges
- Scholarship categories
- American Smooth (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz)
- Showcase performances
Participants are allowed to enter multiple categories, even above their current level. Advancement rules apply for dancers who have already won categories multiple times.
Registration
Registration is open until November 21, 2026, with early bird prices available until November 7. Due to limited capacity and strong demand, it’s recommended to register early to secure your spot and preferred categories.

Tickets
Ticket sales begin on October 1, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Standard tickets are priced at 27 € plus service charge and are available via Lippu.fi.
Tickets can also be purchased at the door, subject to availability, with seating tickets priced at 30 € and standing tickets at 25 €.
Prize Money
Amateur category prize fund:
- 1st place: 500€
- 2nd place: 300€
- 3rd place: 200€
