TSA der TSG 1862 Weinheim e.V.
The TSA is the DanceSport department of TSG 1862 Weinheim in Baden-Württemberg. With approximately 220 members, it promotes amateur DanceSport, prepares athletes for competition and provides recreational dance opportunities for participants from age three through adulthood.
Classes and programs
The department offers International Standard and Latin training from introductory through advanced competitive levels. Its wider program includes children's dance and video-clip choreography, contemporary dance, Solo Latin, salsa, line dance, social dance groups and regular beginner and advanced courses.
Young dancers can progress from the Little Stars introductory group into Rising Stars competition preparation. Adult hobby groups dance the five Standard and five Latin dances, while dedicated technical training supports active competition couples.
Formation and competition
The Allstars Latin formation joined the department in 2022 and performs choreography based on Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive. The club also fields couples and solo dancers at German Standard and Latin competitions.
The TSA traditionally organizes an autumn tournament on 3 October and hosts additional events such as TBW Trophy competitions and state championships. Workshops, social dance evenings and dance parties complement the competitive program.

Department chair Lars Starbaty leads the volunteer committee, supported by deputy chair Claudia Sawang, sports officer Laura Salama and youth officer Tabea Kromer.
