TanzSportClub Astoria Karlsruhe e.V.
TSC Astoria Karlsruhe is a DanceSport club in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg. Founded in 1959, it welcomes beginners, recreational dancers and experienced competitors across a broad program for children, teenagers, adults and seniors.
Classes and programs
The club offers International Standard and Latin competition training, social dancing, recreational DanceSport, salsa, senior dance, fitness and movement groups. Its children's program begins with playful movement classes for young dancers and progresses into structured youth and tournament training.
Inclusive wheelchair dance is available for wheelchair users—including dancers using powered chairs—and standing partners. The format supports different pairings and experience levels.
Latin formation
Astoria's Latin formation program consists of A and B teams performing six-minute routines built around Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive. The A team competes in the Regionalliga, while the B team provides an accessible entry route into formation dancing and competes in the Landesliga.
Competition
Club couples and solo dancers compete in Standard and Latin across adult and masters age groups and multiple proficiency classes. Astoria also provides dedicated coaching and training camps for competitive dancers and has a long record of participation in regional and national DanceSport.
