TJ Sokol Bedřichov TK Chrisstar Jihlava

TK Chrisstar Jihlava is a Czech DanceSport club operating within TJ Sokol Bedřichov in Jihlava. Robert Klein and Jana Laštovičková founded the club in 1996, and Radka Prokůpková has led it since 2002. The club is registered in the Vysočina division of the Czech DanceSport Federation.

Classes and programs

The club teaches the five International Standard dances—Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot and Quickstep—and the five International Latin dances—Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive. It also offers Solo Latin.

Entry groups are organized for children ages 4–6 and 7–9, as well as juniors and young adults ages 10–21. Licensed club coaches and visiting specialists support dancers as they progress from their first classes into competitive DanceSport.

Competition

TK Chrisstar's couples compete in Czech Standard and Latin events across youth and adult categories. The club also organizes the Jihlavský pohár and Vánoční cena, two home competitions registered with the Czech DanceSport Federation.

Leadership

Club chair and head Radka Prokůpková oversees TK Chrisstar's sporting program and competitive development.
