Dudman Academy of Performing Arts & Fitness

Dudman Academy of Performing Arts & Fitness is a family-run school serving Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding area from its studios in Fenham. The academy teaches dance, performing arts and fitness in a friendly environment for children from age two and a half, teenagers and adults.

The school is led by principals Natasha Dudman and Lee Dudman. Natasha heads Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Cheerdance and the Singing Academy. Lee, a former British champion and Team GB member, leads Ballroom, Latin, Classical Sequence, Musical Theatre, Cheerdance and Hip Hop.

Students can take UKA Dance Association examinations and participate in local and national competitions. The academy's competitive programs include Ballroom, Latin, Classical Sequence, Cheerdance, Hip Hop and Acro; the school reports that students have represented Team GB in Ballroom and Latin.

Studios

The academy's Fenham facilities include sprung flooring, mirrors and ballet barres. Weekly classes, private tuition and singing lessons are available; prospective students should contact the academy for the current timetable and suitable entry point.
