Drammen Dance Company
Drammen Dance Company is a dance club affiliated with the Norwegian Dance Federation. It welcomes children and adults who want to dance recreationally as well as athletes pursuing competitive DanceSport.
The club's vision is to create everyday joy by providing opportunities for development and achievement for everyone. Its values emphasize honesty, playfulness, ambition, inclusion, enjoyment, and individual growth.
Classes and services
- Children's dance for ages 3–6, combining movement, play, and music
- Beginner Ballroom and Latin for ages 7–15
- Adult Latin and Salsa from beginner through advanced levels
- Classes with and without a partner
- Competitive Standard and Latin DanceSport for children and adults
- Private lessons tailored to individual goals
- Bespoke wedding dances choreographed to the couple's chosen music
- Dance shows for private clients and businesses
Adult beginner classes introduce dances such as Salsa, Cha-Cha-Cha, and Swing, while higher-level classes expand the repertoire and use more challenging choreography.
Head coaches
Maria Lie Ramella and Catalin Andrei Mihu founded the club and serve as its head coaches. The professional dancers are known from TV 2 Norway's Skal vi danse, have won the Norwegian championship ten times, represented Norway at multiple European and World Championships, and coached several leading Norwegian DanceSport athletes.
